Miles Davis, Kind of Blue: Released in 1959 at the height of the LP era, this is perhaps the most acclaimed and certainly one of...
Any modern music enthusiast should by now know the 9th wonder of the world, Belfast’s own, Bear//Face. The young master of all things ambient recently released his version of James Blake’s mystifying “Voyeur” single off of his Overgrown LP. With a deep rolling bass grinding under high pitched - airy vocals this track is both uplifting and soothing, characteristics of both Bear//Face and James Blake. These two should definitely work together in the future. Enjoy
Majestic. For Cokiyu’s first single off of her upcoming project, Haku, she teams up with electronic indie sensation Baths to create a very serene song. Twinkle Way is a modern day lullaby and evokes feelings of calm and comfort, perfect for afternoon relaxation. Enjoy and follow her on twitter @_cokiyu.
Kilo Kish has found a lane all her own in her newest project K+. It is amazing to hear a project from a hip hop artist that borrows so many styles and sounds from genres not usually adapted into hip hop, making music that is truly characteristic of the year 2013. From the conception of K+ to the execution of its release, Kilo took major strides as an artist to truly create something unique and expressive of herself, a very noble feat which resulted in her best body of work to date.
K+ is a free flowing mix of Kilo’s sedated brand of R&B, Conversational Rap, and Lo-fi pop. Fans of Kilo should take strongly to the music because she only improves on her previous efforts, Bringing more of an intimate feel to her recordings, bridging the gap between her audio discography and live performances. Even without the killer feat. list of Vince Staples, Asap Ferg, Jesse Boykins III, Earl Sweatshirt, Starslinger, SBTRKT, and many more, K+ would still be a very good listen, the alternative all star line up simply brings the project over the top making it something that should not be missed. No favorites on this one as the project as a whole deserves more recognition than a single track ever could. Enjoy and make sure to follow kilo kish on twitter @kilokish
As a preview for her latest musical endeavor, Kilo Kish releases a semi biographical tale of the creating of her newest project K+. This visual helps fans to see into the creative process of the artist creating the music they love and is very interesting indeed. Enjoy
The Weeknd is still making due of his promise to not keep fans waiting for content. With his newest release, a visual for one of his newer tracks, Twenty Eight, off of his Trilogy album, directed by NABIL, The Weeknd keeps the vibes in a dark, dreamy state, much akin to his music. WIth a deep feeling of despair provided by the music, the visual perpetuates the deep emotion with dark tones, scenes of loneliness, and seclusion. Another great video to match a great song by The Weeknd. Stay in tune with the artist through his twitter @TheWeeknd . Enjoy
A moment in Time. James Blake is a master at creating soulful post modern compositions. After a brief stint of no musical output (which seems like four years to a huge fan), James is back with a new spell to cast on music lovers ears across the world.
Retrograde is an intimate story, stitched together in a way that only James Blake can sew. With a hollywood level accompanying visual equally as powerful as the sound, directed by Martin de Thura, James Blake’s newest single is chilling to the ear and epic to the eye. Retrograde is the first single and a great sign of what is to come off of Blake’s upcoming album Overgrown dropping on 4/8. Enjoy and follow him on twitter @JamesBlake

In what feels like just a few months Bodega Bamz and his Tanboy partners have seemingly created a internationally recognized movement through a cult like following that is much bigger than the music. Similarly to the rest of Bodega Bamz’ releases, “Navy” has a rugged, gritty, and authentic aura mustered by Bamz’ stories of his early struggles and experiences in the drug game. But beneath Bamz’ cutthroat lyrical content is a polished hip-hop bravado and the unshakable presence of a leader. Two qualities essential of a hip-hop great. It may be too early to declare Bodega Bamz a rap great but one thing is certain, he is here to stay, weither you want him to be or not.
